MIRAI to introduce CHIMEI
4th June 2007 – MIRAI today announces that it will be introducing the CHIMEI brand across Europe. From August 2007 MIRAI’s high quality LCD monitors will start to be marketed under the global brand CHIMEI.
CHIMEI is a major LCD TV and monitor brand, available throughout Asia and is acknowledged internationally as the world’s third largest supplier of LCD TV panels. The decision to introduce the CHIMEI brand to the European market at this time is part of an overall strategy to build on its global manufacturing presence.
Paul Butler, general manager of MIRAI, said: “The introduction of CHIMEI across Europe as the new name in monitors is an exciting step in celebrating the future of our products worldwide. Our channel, retailers and consumers will benefit from a global product strategy, which will provide faster and more flexible access to the latest developments and services.”
Since its European launch 18 months ago MIRAI positioned itself as a top 15 brand during 2006. MIRAI monitors and LCD TVs are available in all major countries, including the UK, Benelux, France, Germany, Scandinavia, Italy, Spain and Portugal. MIRAI is well known among trade partners for strong customer service, attractive pricing and a feature rich product selection. These elements are also applied to the CHIMEI brand.
The CHIMEI brand will offer a wide range of innovative digital widescreen monitors. New products will all match Vista requirements and a new range of Multi Function Monitors will be introduced in September. The introduction of the CHIMEI brand will be phased and will be supported by an above and below the line marketing campaign across Europe.
